What’s Love Got To Do With It
by Emma Roman
Somewhere, TX Bachelors Book Two

What's Love Got To Do With ItLoving a good challenge, playboy bachelor, TJ Stinson decides to take the bull by the horns and puts out an ad in the local newspaper for a wife and "baby mama." Determined to get the job done, TJ interviews women, making sure this is in contract only—no ties of love for this particular agreement.

Overhearing one of his ridiculous interviews, Anna Granger decides she'd be perfect for the "role." But what happens when neither of them are pretending anymore? Their pasts have a way of creeping back up on them, teaching them what Grandpa Stinson knew all along: there's more to life than just prestige and money.

The rule: Get married and have a baby.
When Grandpa Stinson dies, he expects nothing more than to keep his grandsons together, running the family's multibillion-dollar business. But he's got just one unfaltering rule: they have to get married and have a baby first. The brothers disagree...wholeheartedly.

But it's set in stone. Follow the rule or you're one grandson out of luck...

Excerpt:
Anna backed up a couple more steps, bumping into something hard and warm and much taller than she was. She spun around and stared up into Roark Stinson’s bright blue eyes. More voices echoed in the large foyer behind him—Nic and TJ.

“Hello again,” Roark’s voice vibrated through the room, and Anna’s legs wobbled. “TJ didn’t say you were coming over for dinner.”

“I— well—”

“TJ, your girl is here,” Roark hollered over his shoulder. “You didn’t say Anna was coming for dinner.”

“I’m not staying. I just need to talk—” Anna tried to get out of eating dinner with all of them. That was the last thing she wanted.

“Nonsense, you’re here. You can’t leave now. We’d all love a chance to get to know you better.” He winked and flashed her a mischievous smile very similar to the one she’d seen TJ use.

Dammit. No. Anna closed her eyes for a moment and took a breath. How the hell had this happened? “I just need to speak to—”

“My girl?” TJ asked, stepping around Roark and halting suddenly when their gazes met. “Anna.”

Her name on his lips made her skin tingle. She wanted him to say it again. She wanted him to touch her and do... other things too.

“I’m sorry to intrude. I needed—”

His gaze darkened, and he frowned like he was suddenly pissed she was here. Crap. He doesn’t want to see me.

“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be with your lover boy?” he sneered.

Anna stepped backward trying to avoid the acid in his voice. Loverboy? “Why should I be with him? My appointment isn’t until tomorrow afternoon.”

“You have an appointment.” He scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. “Yes...he’s a stud. They always schedule visits ahead of time.”

“It sounds like he’s busy.”

Anna frowned. What the hell was going on? Why was he getting so emotional over who she studded her horses with? Maybe it was the money? He knew the ranch was short on funds.

“Look, the stud fee was paid last year so it’s not affecting my ranch’s budget this year. I wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity. Even if Cheeky catches, it won’t cost me that much more to take care of her vet bills.”

Roark and Nic both covered their mouths at the same time to stifle a burst of laughter.

TJ’s face turned red, and his mouth dropped open just slightly. “Loverboy is a horse.”

“Of course, he is. What did you think he was—” She stopped, putting two and two together. That’s why he’d left the ranch without talking to her. He’d thought... Oh, GOD! Her cheeks heated, and she shook her head. But that meant he was still interested in her. That he hadn’t moved on. If he hadn’t cared, he wouldn’t have gotten jealous of a horse.

She smiled. He was jealous of a horse.
