Having Robert with him for three days was not enough, but he couldn’t afford to pay Madam Bernadette for more time. Their future would be up to his former charge turned partner. Right now all he could think about was getting the small man back home.

Although Robert had been tense throughout the day he’d seemed to enjoy himself. He wanted Robert to realize that when they were together they’d do more than have sex. They’d have a normal life, well aside from the role playing in private, and that would include eating out and doing other social events.

“Thank you for taking me to the theater,” Robert said for the fourth time.

Andrew nodded. “I remembered you liked Shakespeare.”

Robert smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling, and Andrew’s heart fluttered. It wasn’t that he was falling in love in two days, he told himself. They’d had a whole childhood together and it felt right for them to be together again. To be taking care of Robert again.

His chest ached, remembering the day he’d run away from Robert and his family. He’d been so excited to be free that it had taken him a week to start missing Robert. Of course, by that time it was too late to return to the Carsons again even if he’d wanted to. But he’d loved Robert back then. Guilt cut like shards of glass. He’d chosen freedom over love.

At sixteen, he had still been a boy, young and foolish. He should have stayed with Robert and protected him from his father. The man hadn’t been overly harsh on his two sons, but that had been when he’d had plenty of slaves to take his anger out on.

It made sense the bastard had turned on his youngest. He’d never particularly cared for Robert, showing Bill more affection.

If he would have known how Robert’s life had changed he never would have left.

Did Robert hold it against him?

Apologizing for deserting him would not do any good now. All he could do was shower him with love to make up for his mistakes.

He cleared his throat, wishing he could tell the hack driver to whip the horses into a gallop. How long was it is going to take to get back to his bedroom?

By the time he unlocked his door, he’d nearly forgotten the promise to himself he’d made that morning. Almost. Grabbing Robert by the hand he dragged the man down the hallway.

Robert beamed. “Yes, Sir.”

Andrew stripped, throwing his coat one way and his vest another. He couldn’t get naked fast enough. Robert on the other hand, took off his new suit carefully as if he didn’t want to hurt them, folding each piece and piling them in a chair.

Andrew growled, wishing he’d hurry up.

He pulled out a green silk blindfold from his chest of drawers and slowly walked behind Robert before tying it on. He hated to cover up those blue eyes, but Robert had already bowed his head taking on a submissive pose.

“You are not to speak unless I give you permission to do so. Is that clear?”

Robert nodded.

Andrew returned to the chest of drawers and pulled out a silk scarf to tie Robert’s wrists. Recreating the night at Maison de Vénus made the base of his cock twitch. It had been so erotic the first time, he wondered if the second would live up to his expectations. There was only one way to find out.

Robert had already placed his hands behind his back and Andrew tied them in place.

“Do you understand?” Andrew growled.

Robert nodded.

“Good.”

Taking Robert by the elbow he led him further away from the bed so they’d have more room. He sensed the white man had imagined a different plan for tonight. He’d seemed eager to climb on top of the mattress.

Andrew grunted. That would come tomorrow if the submissive behaved. “Now get down on your knees.”

Robert complied.

Andrew walked around and stood in front of him. Taking himself in hand, he guided his cock to Robert’s closed lips. Robert moaned as the leaking head moistened his seam.
