Dreamwalker: Mind Games by Pamela Moran
As a medium, Jana, the newest Dreamwalker, is used to hearing voices in her head. But when the latest voice insists she warn his twin, Brant, of impending danger, she's left in peril of losing her heart to the sexy, top-secret researcher.
Dreamwalker: Mind Games Excerpt:
“Jana.”
The male voice echoed in Jana Derrickson’s head. Echoed through the bustling hospital hallway. Goosebumps coated her skin.
Dammit.
No matter how well she prepared herself, no matter how thick her shields, one always managed to slip through.
She didn’t have time, not this evening, for disembodied voices wanting to chat.
Sometimes, being a medium sucked.
Times like now when she needed to visit her extremely ill grandmother then meet the rest of her Dreamwalking team for a briefing on their latest target. And since she was the newest member of that team, and had a lot to prove, at least to herself, she didn’t have time to hang around the hospital.
No, Jana didn’t have time for ghosts.
Her chin down, eyes focused straight ahead, she hurried towards room 412.
“Jana, please.”
Cold washed over her skin. Why the hell did they always know her name? Her gaze flicked to the right.
Room 409.
Dammit.
She only had two more doors to get past.
“I know you hear me.”
Jana paused. Took a deep breath and nearly gagged on the faint taste of antiseptic. She flicked another glance at the door to room 409.
“Yes. Please. Room 409 is perfect.”
“Fine.” She muttered the one word under her breath.
Damn ghosts.
Pushing the room’s door open, she entered the darkened space and let the door snick closed behind her. A hint of something floral greeted her. Someone’s flowers, probably, that no one had disposed of yet. The quiet beep of hospital equipment and the deep, rhythmic breathing of someone asleep were the only sounds in the room. That same equipment lent a soft glow across the person laying prone on the bed.
Just her luck. This wasn’t an empty room.
“Sorry.” Her face warm from embarrassment, she backed towards the door.
“It’s all right, Jana.” The voice in her head held a slight trace of humor. “I’m not going anywhere at the moment.”
“You’re not the one I was apologizing to.” Her words hissed out in a whisper. Behind her back she grabbed the door handle.
“That is me, on the bed.”
Jana, her fingers tight on the door handle, stopped. Stood still. “That’s not possible.”
“Why isn’t it?”
“That person is alive.”

The Billionaire and the Bellhop by Eva Lefoy
Billionaire Arianna Reynolds checks into a swank NYC hotel and meets the bellhop of her dreams. But Dylan Bartelli is no ordinary bellhop. The genius car maker will spin her party girl life around.
The Billionaire and the Bellhop Excerpt:
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Arianna narrowed her eyes on the party-pooper and stalked toward him in her six inch Prada heels. Yes, she was technically unclothed, but she never considered herself naked when wearing the right shoes.
When he raised an eyebrow but refused to answer the question, she slapped him.
Crack!
Her palm met his cheek leaving a nice satisfying sound behind. But her celebration was short-lived. He captured her wrist before she had time to pull it back. She bit back a mewl of protest that would have made her appear weak. She refused to be in the power of this man. But she couldn’t help but notice the alluring depth of the color of skin – dark tanned, slightly olive as if of Italian origin – next to his pitch black hair. The curve of his lips was devastating to admire, forcing her to snap her gaze elsewhere lest she be tempted to taste them.
“Saving you.” He smiled.
Oh, what a bore. She yanked her arm from his grasp and turned toward the refreshments. God, she needed something right about now. Her gaze perused the night’s offerings, the usual fare. Coke. Uppers. Downers. XTC. Weed. Making her choice, she decided to play along with his little game. “From what?”
“From yourself.”
She reached for a joint still smoldering in the crystal ashtray. “That’s a tall order for a bell hop. I should call security. Have you thrown out on your ass.”
He slapped the joint out of her hand. “Enough drugs, Arianna. From what I could see, you’ve had more than enough to affect your judgment.”
She spun on him in fury, intent on slapping him again, but found herself stopped cold by the intense concern in his gaze. Not many people cared enough to see past her money or to dig deeper, past the shiny exterior and see the real Arianna, but this stranger seemed intent on doing so. Who the hell is this guy? And why does he seem vaguely familiar? Have I fucked him before? Caught off balance, she backpedaled on the anger and, shaking her head, put on a more distant stance. “What do you mean?”
He came toward her, and she moved away, automatically reaching for a glass of Riesling, but he stopped her, taking her hand and pulling her chest to his. “I mean, you didn’t even use a condom on the last guy. He could have had a disease.”
“That’s not true… I-I.” She stopped mid-thought. Had she been so careless? Apparently she had.

On the Sly, Part 3 by Leigh Ellwood
Missed connections leave Colin free for the evening, and free to track down the Jackson Park Jumper once and for all. Looks like he'll need Tru's help after all.
On the Sly, Part 3 Excerpt:
“What are you turning in here for?” Wade tightened a burger wrapper into a ball—his third—and placed it on the dashboard with the others. When Tru jerked into the right turn they all rolled off the edge into the dark recess at Wade’s feet.
“I saw something. Doesn’t look right. Might as well check it out, it’s pretty quiet tonight.”
Wade snorted. “Probably a fox or something.”
“I don’t think so. This was big, thick. Lumbering around the parking lot,” Tru said.
“Whatever. Maybe we’ll surprise a couple of fags humping in the bushes. That oughta scare them straight.”
Tru tamped down the slow burn as Wade chuckled. He thought to point out how his partner lovingly caressed his nightstick as he talked, emphasizing the phallic symbolism there, but bit his lip. Wade might act like a bigoted asshole, but Tru suspected a bigger problem lurking close. He caught a glimpse of a familiar van as they approached the parking lot. Tru had seen it parked on Sylvester Street often.
Four men gathered by the sliding side door as it gave way, then clambered in and sealed themselves off from the world.
Well on the other side of the vehicle, a dark mass moved on several feet.
Shit. Those men weren’t holding hands like lovers. One body jerked with each step, as though trying to escape.
“So we going to ticket those guys for parking here after dark?” Wade demanded and reached to hit the strobes. “Says no trespassing.”
Tru slapped his hand away. “Not yet. Look over there.” He nodded toward the wrestling couple just as the one in front thrashed and broke into a run. The other figure reached out and tore away a huge swatch of fabric—Tru quickly realized it was a backpack.
And Colin was running toward him, waving his arms to flag him to stop.
“Shit!” He slammed on the brakes, unconcerned with where the cruiser landed. He met Colin in four rapid strides and caught the young man, who collapsed out of breath in his arms.
“It’s him, Tru. He was gonna…” Colin heaved and stepped back, doubled over with his palms on his knees.
